Bio

Founder members of Sheffield based Colorpool, Ritchie Chappell and Jojo Blythe, formed The TripDown Project in late 2008 after Colorpool dispanded. The band were originally formed as a song writing project but playing live was always a big draw. After a chance comment by a friend the TripDown Project decided to start playing live as a 2 piece and put on a few shows which were really well received. The gigs were always were pretty wild and with the addition of synths and samples the live sound has grown and the band seem to have more energy than ever! Bringing technology into the live setup has really helped the TripDown Project create a bigger, more powerful sound.

The band have been playing a few small shows over the last year but have spent a lot of time holed up in their studio.

"Nothing but Envy" is the first official release, with more material being recorded all the time, and the latest single "My Condition" is available on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify.

In early 2012, the band played their first gig with a new aquisition in the form of a bass player - Tim Pritchard, which further enhances the sound of the live set and helps carve the grooves of a moshing frenzy.

TD Studios in Lincolnshire, is the result of hard work and determination on behalf of the band and has been key to the progression and development of their song writing potential and sound. It is now a fully functioning professional recording studio available for hire (when the band aren't in there of course).

The next year will see The Tripdown Project playing more gigs in and around the local area, more airtime on BBC Introducing and further releases on Holier Than Thou. Come, see, listen and tell us what you think
