Tristan Raganan

The story begins in a childhood steeped in the Soul of Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye, the Rock of Led Zeppelin, and the deep-crying Blues of Chicago and the Mississippi Delta. Tristan Raganan began composing original music on the piano, and then the guitar and lap slide guitar when he was still a cub. The influences of Ben Harper, The Fugees, and Tracy Chapman, their honest lyrics and fearless use of rockheavy distortion and world instruments, has created in Tristan a drive to make fusion music that defies genre, that rocks dance clubs, that moves intimate gatherings to silence, and that verges on haunting.

The band formed organically, through jamming and spontaneity. Jason Field, a guitar virtuoso, brings 17 years of classical training, flamenco, and gypsy jazz influences, pressure cooked alongside Rage Against the Machine and AC/DC. Jesse Claire is a Genetic Biophysicist, as well as a genius on the bass guitar. Upright, 5-String, slap and funk bass, his depth and breadth of musicality is undeniably catchy, evocative, and stylistically unique. Paul Cope has played drums since he was able to hit things. He diversifies his extraordinary knowledge of rhythm through Latin, House, Rock and Hip-Hop influences. Beyond the drum kit, Paul approaches mastery on the unique Cajon - literally a drumkit inside of a box you can sit on!
