Bio

Trixie AKA Amanda Slater was born in Sandusky, Ohio on March 31,1983.
She quickly found her love for music, making beats by pounding on
different objects and enjoying the radio. Eventually she started writing
poems which would turn into song form later on. In 2002 a year after
graduation she got her hands on a karoke machine and started recording
on tapes, although the beats were downloaded and the lyrics didn't sound
good on tape, it drove her to get better equipment. In 2003 she met
Phthalos aka Russell Schoewe and the collaborations were on. These
collabo's grew into a group and in 2004 the Frosted Gallows was born.
The Frosted Gallows first show was on July 16, 2005. By then the Gallows had
dropped a L.P. and a E.P. By 2007 which was 19 shows later, 5 more albums
and the greatest accomplishment being the 3.31.07 "Keep it Frozen"
Global Warming Awarness Show where the Gallows was able to raise
enough money to adopt a polar bear and feed it for a year at the Cleveland
Zoo. Then Trixie decided to begin th head in a different direction, so she
decided to drop a solo album in March of 2008. In January, 2 months before the
album was to drop there was a halt to the master plan, Trixie fell ill to a
cancerous tumor on her right kidney. So instead of a date for dropping a
album there was a date to remove the kidney. After a long recovery the
album started moving again. The first show back for Trixie was on July 12,2008
which was 419 meets 216. The Trixie solo album entitled "My Love" was finally
printed, pressed and released in August, 2008. The release show was
August 16, 2008 Take it to the streets tour. That Same month Trixie was
mentioned in a artical in the local newspaper entitled "Local Music
Overlooked for too Long". In 2008 There were 8 shows from here to Lorain, Oh.
and a lot of promotion for the album. The album sold 248 copy's. With a
great response for the album Trixie has still been promoting the album in
2009.

Trixie is set apart from many other artist in the area because of her style. She can grab the attention on the young and old. Although she is a unique style of hip hop she performs well at rock shows, r&b shows and even local fair grounds.

Trixie has numerous influences from all different music genres. She pays attention to all different styles and takes whut she likes to incorperate them into her music.
