Bio

Clive Campbell aka Trixta, was born in Hammersmith West London.
He was raised by his mother (Janet) who at the time wanted better for herself & son. The decision was made; the two relocated settling in a town called Croydon.
This was to be the making of a true entertainer.

Coming from a musical background it was no coincidence that the young Trixta would follow the foot prints set by his family members by displaying an intense passion for music. Whilst the other kids played on their computer consoles, Trixta spent majority of his spare time learning new dance moves & showcasing his talent at family functions. At age 7, Trixta was taught by his step father how to DJ. The youngster was keen to learn the skill of mixing & scratching using twin turntables. Trixta would often record his performances on audio cassettes & give them away to family & friends.

The UK Drum ‘n’ Bass scene of the mid 90’s would later play a major role in Trixta’s life as he was strongly influenced by the top mcees of the time, to start writing his own lyrics & appearing on pirate radio stations. Trixta would later be asked to join a newly formed group called Lyrikal Assassins. The Lyrikal Assassins performed at several under 18 events & Talent competitions; in return this created a strong reputation for the new crew in town.
Being a part of Lyrikal Assassins taught Trixta the importance of stage performance & also allowed his ability as a writer to grow.

As time went on Trixta showed an interest in the music industry frequently wondering what it took for a recording artist to obtain a record deal from a major record company. Having teamed up with two music producers (Dean Anthoni & Vex Music) they began working on material. In 2005 Trixta released his first solo single
Trik-Dee-Zie, a catchy underground banger with a funky instrumental combined with cleverly written lyrics, left a long lasting impression on the music scene. The trio continued to work & even managed to get their songs featured on mainstream radio stations across the capital.

Since then Trixta has continued to grow and develop not only as a recording artist but also as a supporting artist for film & television. Being no stranger to the stage Trixta’s recent performances include The Croydon Festival a long side legendary Reggae superstar Jimmy Cliff & The London Peace Festivals.

At present Trixta is currently working on a new project
Love Life & Laughter a project that is set for the dance floor with tracks like Wait For Me & The Music Sounds Better; Love Life & Laughter is packed with heavy hitting punch lines, catchy choruses & also gives the listener a sample of Trixta’s versatility, it will be one CD worth adding to your collection!
