Bio

Hitting the music scene like a bat out of hell, Trixx-n-Traxx is soaring into the ears of youth all over the world. Starting his career in Stoney Creek, Trixx-n-Traxx, born David Shaida, began his music career playing the piano, guitar and drums at the tender age of 9.
Growing and evolving, he created multiple bands throughout his high school career and continued after graduating. David decided to put his foot further in the door of the music business by creating his own music production company called Stickboy Productions.
Stickboy Productions was born in January of 2007. In this short time, it has evolved into an impressive studio, housing industry ready equipment such as: Korg M3, Roland Fantom X6, a CME UF5 MIDI controller, Behringer Monitors and mixers, Cakewalk, Sonar 7 and Reason 4.0.

Before starting his career in Stickboy Productions, he was enrolled in the Trebas Institute, which is a leading sound production school in Toronto. There, he attended classes in MIDI, theory, song writing and business. Since the inception of Stickboy Productions, David has written music for artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Sean Kingston, Jenna Andrews to name a few and has worked on remixes for Jully Black, and Ludacris. David decided he also wanted to start a record label called Play the Traxx Music Group with partner and friend Graffix. Signing his first artist
Die’N’Ices, on February 25 2009, Play the Traxx Music Group was able to consider themselves an official label. With his smooth vocals and the dance moves of a star, the two owners knew signing Die’N’Ices was a smart move. One month later, they signed their second artist, being himself, Trixx-n-Traxx to Play the Traxx Music Group and the journey commenced. Endless days and nights were focused primarily on the production of his epic album. Trixx decided he wanted the best sound possible from his first album so he took it to MetalWorks Studios, which is known as one of the worlds number one studios. Metal Works has seen artists such as N’Sync, Backstreet Boys, Nelly Furtado and Prince walk through its halls. There, Trixx worked long days and nights with engineer and friend "Loop" (Kevin Dietz) who mixed his entire album and sent it to be mastered. Trixx-n-Traxx also has sponsorship from Fast Wheels, a Canadian automotive company that supplies customers with custom wheels, rims, tires and accessories.
His musical influences range from urban super producer Timbaland, to the heavy sounds of The Used. Dabbling in genres such as hip hop, pop, rock, r&b and dance, Trixx-n-Traxx's album "Catch Me If You Can" truly caters to young generations and even their parents. With beautiful ballads and ridiculously catchy hooks, Trixx-n-Traxx will grab you by the ears and by the hearts and make you fall head over heels for the artist and his music. His first album, "Catch Me If You Can," is a feature album with cameos by artists such as Die'N Ices, Goldie Lox, King Bang Bat and Casino. This album is going to explode this summer, hitting radio stations all over the world. Trixx-n-Traxx’s first single “What It Is” is already receiving much acclaim by fans and industry leaders. Being released on ITunes on June 26 2009, Trixx-n-Traxx's many fans will finally be able to get their hands on the album of the summer. Waiting patiently for months, begging for more songs, Trixx-n-Traxx's fans are doubling by the second. Friends of friends, their cousins, and their cousin’s neighbours are all jumping on the Trixx-n-Traxx train on the road to success.

“If you have a passion in your life; then life will be your passion,” states the young, driven producer.

Music will never sound the same.
