Trixy Tang

Trixy Tang is a bigger than life rock band from the midwest who have brought back the big
sounds of the 80’s into the modern rock and roll scene.

The band was formed five years ago by lead singer Klay Fennema from Grand Rapids,
Michigan. At the young age of 21, Fennema was already drawing live crowds with his energy,
great vocals and sex appeal. Paired with 3 other band members his own age they surprised
local audiences with their talent and love of the eighties music they grew up listening to with
their parents.

As time went on Fennema changed the lineup several times until he met long time veteran
drummer, Dan Premo. He found the experienced musician he needed to push him forward.
Together they found bass player Kevin Turner, also a veteran on the west Michigan music
scene and newcomer Rey Hernandez, to play lead guitar. Hernandez is nothing short of a
prodigy and plays with the soul and expertise of someone who has been playing a lifetime. He

also brings a soulful, bluesy voice to Trixy Tang that makes a perfect match when paired with
Fennema’s eighties style high screams and smooth melodies.

With the band now set in place, it was the perfect time to record their first EP. In November
2017, the band would make a trip to Memphis to record at the iconic Crosstrax Studio with
producer, Justin Rimer. Rimer has an extensive list of accomplishments and was the perfect fit
for Trixy Tang. The EP will be released in the winter of 2018.

Trixy Tang has taken the midwest by storm playing show after show honing their craft. The
frenzy Fennema creates is nothing less than an all night party for music lovers. They have
opened for many national acts, such as, Sebastian Bach, Jackyl, Warrant, Tom Keifer, Dokken,
and Stryper. If your a fan of great rock music that takes the sounds of the seventies, eighties
and nineties and brings them all together with a modern twist, then you will want to listen to
Trixy Tang......the party never stops.
