"Godemis of CES Cru Links Up With Trizz For Upcoming Track"

One of the greatest things about Strange Music tours (besides Tech performing “Areola”…anyone who’s been to a show knows why) is the amount of time our artists get to spend together while on the road. Usually with the massive amounts of music they’re releasing, schedules don’t allow for a whole lot of time to kick it and brainstorm, but living together on a tour bus for two months definitely changes that.

While out on the road for the Independent Powerhouse Tour, CES Cru did an interview with The Source and hinted that they had not one but a few songs in the works with some of their tour mates. Details were pretty much non existent until just recently when L.A. rapper Trizz took to his Twitter to confirm that he and Godemis had just finished a track together.

Y’all may remember Trizz from his appearance on “MDK” from Brotha Lynch Hung’s Mannibalector album, and those of you attending the Independent Powerhouse Tour can see him rock the stage alongside Lynch!

While further details have yet to be unleashed, we can only imagine what these two would sound like together, and according to our imaginations it’s going to be dope as hell.

Keep an eye out on Trizz’s Twitter and Instagram for an exclusive look into his experiences on the Independent Powerhouse Tour, and updates on his collab with Godemis.

"Brotha Lynch Hung Hypeman "Trizz" in Arizona Daily"

In an era of Tumblr-bred, club-ready trap rap, it’s hard to find artists with self-assurance of hip-hop legends. Though Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore sometimes demonstrate a socially conscious bent in their work, they can lack the visceral imagery to back it up.

That’s not the case for Trizz.

Born Arthur Lea IIIand raised in Compton, Calif., the rapper has been making steady moves in the genre of horrorcore, a scene noted for its shock value, while maintaing the classic elements of a true rapper. Currently working under the watchful eye of legend Brotha Lynch Hung, Lea has experienced a meteoric ascent as the result of finding the right audience.

“[Brotha Lynch Hung] heard my album Case 17, and he liked that shit,” Lea said. “He said he was gonna do a tour, so he invited me and … it’s been going great.”

Billed on the Strange Music “Independent Powerhouse” tour, Lea has found a audience that’s appreciative of his stylings, both lyrically and technically. Lines like “Have you ever seen a rapper slit his wrists? No, me either, but I’m looking forward to the experience/ Don’t trip, I know exactly where my veins are, barely leave a faint scar, laced arm, it ain’t hard,” from “Morgue” display Lea’s descriptive talent.

But it’s his California-style delivery that’s most impressive. “I heard Dinner And A Movie and I heard Season of da Siccness and I started writing like [Brotha Lynch Hung],” Lea said. “I don’t rush work at all. I storytell a lot. I like to write in sequence. I used to just write in circles, but now I like to put everything in sequence.”

Rapping isn’t the be all, end all for Lea. He’s a true triple threat — spending his downtime writing screenplays, while also acting in bit roles. Not many unsigned twenty-something rappers moonlight on Disney Channel shows.

“I’ve been on ‘ER,’ and I don’t like to admit this: I’ve been on ‘Hannah Montana’,” Lea said. “I love acting. I write scripts 24/7. I love horror film and drama shit. I’m writing a movie right now.”

It’s safe to assume that nothing about Lea’s approach is mild or slow-moving, and it doesn’t look like that will ever change. For a 21-year-old rapper on his first tour, playing sold-out sets every night with an icon taking the stage beside him, Lea is starkly aware of his position. Though his career is still budding, every sign thus far points to greatness.

“Everything that I’m watching right now is a learning experience,” he said. “I take notes. I don’t believe in a plan B. If I’m not doing this, I don’t wanna live — I love this life.”

Bio

Trizz, born Arthur Tre Lea III, is a self- released rapper from the Inland Empire, a region of Southern California, east of Los Angeles. The young rapper became an avid
music aficionado at an early age, first picking up a microphone at the tender age of nine. Growing up in the suburbs, hip-hop became a way for Trizz and his neighborhood friends to escape boredom and the simplicities of living life on the outskirts. As his writing skills developed, Trizz
perfected his lyrical skill and began producing his own beats and mixtapes under the moniker Young Trizz. His self-titled debut EP demonstrates the journey of an independent artist looking to lead ahead of the pack.

After dropping the Young from his stage name to signify his adulthood, Trizz released New West, a nod to the West Coast pioneers of rap. A steady stream of digital downloads and positive reaction in the virtual world led to the release of, Case 17, a mixtape named for the 17 murder cases committed by serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

Now at the age of 21, Trizz is indeed poised to become one of the most prolific lyricists of his time, consistently writing rhymes, producing new material and touring across the United States.

2012 marked a new chapter in Trizzs careersigning with Brotha Lynch Hungs, Madesicc Muzicc. Under the new label, Trizz has earned two writing credits on Brotha Lynch Hungs seventh studio album Mannibalector and is also featured on tracks Bacon N Eggs (Skit), and MDK. In March 2013, Trizz appeared on the Independent Powerhouse Tour, alongside Tech N9ne and other Strange Music artists, Rittz,
Godemis and Ces Cru.

His latest album, Written In Smoke, produced by AC3, is now available on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. For more information, including music and tour dates, visit www.therealtrizz.com.
