"Steel drums at Tweeter"

Dear Jason Roseman and the Tropical Gems, I want to extend my thanks for your professionalism and fast response to my request to have you perform August 28th and August 30th. Jason Roseman and the Tropical Gems performed at a private hospitality event in a VIP area for the Tweeter Center during our Jimmy Buffett performances. The band provided a wonderful tropical sound for our guests to enjoy prior to the big event! They were a huge hit with clients and the staff! On behalf of the Tweeter Center and the VIP staff we thank you and look forward to working with you again!! Bio

When Jason Roseman founded Tropical Gems back in 2002 his plan was to showcase his talent as a song writer and entertainer on his beloved steel drums. He makes the drums he performs on at every gig. This band has come a long way to achieving his goal.

Originally from Trinidad and Tobago Jason now living in Rhode Island has teamed up with fellow musicians from the Ocean State, Anthony Caramadre and George Breiter. He also included the influence of Fredric Woodard and Stephen Fell from Iowa and Connecticut to refine a Calypso, Reggae, Jazz sound that has been well received in the New England states for the past couple years. Tropical Gems play their infectious brand of music regularly at weddings, private parties, corperate functions and clubs; their unique style sets them apart from other ordernary bands.

Jason Roseman and Tropical Gems consists of steel drums, Keyboard, acoustic/electric guitar, acoustic/electric Bass, acoustic drummer , assorted percussion instruments and vocals. This band has been ifluenced by many well known acts including Bob Marley and the Wailers, Carlos Santana and Duke Elnghton to name a few. Jason also has been influenced by his all time favorite steel drummer, Robert Greenidge, who plays with Jimmy Buffet`s "Coral Reef Band".

Their first Album entilted "International Gems" is soon to be released on the "Cashew Steel" Label and includes compositions from Jason and Anthony. One of the tracks 'Prelude' penned by Jason can be heard on the California based "One Way Magazine`s" April/ May issue compilation CD. One Way Magazine features Indipendent musicians and bands in the US.
