Bio
Tropics, a.k.a. 24 year old Chris Ward from Southampton, had a big 2011, coming from nowhere to wide praise and exposure in a few short months. Picked up early on as an outstanding talent for his lush and highlymelodic dreampop, which Pitchfork labelled “intoxicating and memorably tuneful”, he went on to remix Little Dragon and drop both an EP and the critically acclaimed album Parodia Flare with Planet Mu.
Since then he has gone from strength to strength. His next EP, Popup Cinema, has had over 200k soundcloud plays, with Home & Consonance, the follow up, clocking up over a dozen Radio 1 spins and 500K YouTube views.
