Bio

This blues man is the real deal from the true home of the  blues, southern Louisiana. His licks will knock your socks off. Troy was mentored by the best and it shows in his velvet voice and wicked guitar playing. He studied at Berklee in Chicago but his true teachers were his friends, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Edgar Winter, Buddy Guy, BB King, the Rafel family, his Uncle Ike Turner and many, many more greats

Troy’s brand of performing the southern blues is definitely unique and his talent runs mighty deep. His stage presence and charisma will knock on your door but when he starts wailing on the guitar you’ll see the battering ram coming full force and you won’t be able to look away. There is no doubt he will be the talk of the town.

He has recorded five albums all on major labels. Please go to https://www.revernation.com/troyturner to listen to some of Troy’s originals.

He is also very proud to have been included on the Peter Green Tribute Album lending the recording of Peter’s song ‘Lazy Poker’.

2016 to 2022, so far, since he has moved to Canada, Troy has been featured at the “2019 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival” and will also be playing there this coming spring in 2022 on the Blues Stage, “Calgary Blues Festival”, the “17 Years After Edmonton Blues Festival” at NAIT and headlined the first “Blues and Barbque in the Badlands” at the Passion Play Amphitheatre in Drumheller, Alberta, Edmonton Blues Society Festival, Camrose Bailey Theatre, Edmonton’s Blues On Whyte, Calgary’s Blues Can and dozens of other venues.
