Bio
I have been casually playing the guitar for around 20 years. My style is based on rock, metal, and progressive style genres. Some of my heavy influences are Linkin Park, Dream Theater, and Aerosmith.
I was in a metal cover band in my late teens. We covered Megadeth and Slayer songs. We played for a couple of years and moved into original music with an Opeth influence.
After that band, I played casually played throughout my 20s and in my mid-30s I hooked up with some great local musicians. After about a year I was approached by Sebastion Shock about playing bass in this new project called Artifax. I had never played bass in a band, so I showed up and they put a bass in my hand. I learned the setlist for our first EP on bass, but we struggled to find a guitarist. So we brought in Stephen Mayhew as the bassist and I switched to guitar. Around the same time, we brought in Tim Dillard as our drummer and we were able to release our first EP and immediately started working on our second.
