Bio

Can you say "TALENT" Troys Record "Guitar with a Voice" is Infectious!! If you like hard driving rock & metal, hard soulful blues, & bittersweet ballads that tug on your heartstrings. Then this record is for you! My music is just an amalgamation of everything I have ever listened to & felt in my soul. But my influences serve only as muse, not as master! I have my own sound, my own tone, & I try to be as true to what's in my soul, & let it come out in my music serving the song for the songs sake! "Guitar with a Voice" is an album for guitar players but also for anyone that just enjoys vocal music as well. The 1st track "Ignition (Full Throttle)" jumps out & punches you right in the face like a frieght train with energy, melody & technical accuracy! And, just listen to the catchy melodic beautiful ballad "Forget Me Not" & you will be drawn in by a melody you can't let go of. Troy says "It is a record I am very proud to give to the world of music." I hope it touches & moves everyone the way it does me when I perform. It's loaded with chops, energy, heart, passion, & you feel like the guitar is singing to you with it's voice! Someone said to me that all of the tracks seemed like they were singing to them, so I went with that inspiration, & that's where the idea for the title of the record came from. I've been playing for 19 years, & it only keeps getting better. The more I play, the more I discover about the guitar, & how awesome of an instrument it is! I think it is the most versatile instrument in the world. I recently warmed up for "The Little River Band" in St. Louis MO, 2 nights in a row to a sold out crowd both nights. And my music being instrumental was very accepted to such a vocal band audience. I sold about 40 cds in 2 nights! My influences are Andy Timmons, Neal Schon, Michael Schenker, Randy Rhoads, Robin Trower, George Lynch, Joe Satriani, BB King, SRV, Joe Bonamassa, Paul Gilbert, Vinne Moore, John Petrucci, Iron Maiden, Tesla, Steve Vai, & so many more. All I want to do is perform this music live with my band, & deliver it the way it needs to be heard, live!!
