Bio

“Melancholic pop has rarely sounded nicer” writes the Dutch music magazine OOR about debut-ep Neon Chameleon. Wonderful compliment but très.b is more than just that.

It is an International formation: Polish singer, half Danish/half English drummer and a half Dutch/half American guitarist, which
started at a Danish “Hojskole” (high school) to later move to The Netherlands and Poland.

The band name can be translated directly from French, meaning “very b” which stands for their music being rough and unpolished (B-class) as well as the members not beloning to any "one" location, which makes them B-citizens everywhere they go. OOR writes in their review about the influences of the band: “Misia Furtak sounds like a mixture between Björk and PJ Harvey.” Furthermore, the three piece has also been compared to bands like Sonic Youth. Dutch Magazine Fret concludes: “The music won’t bore you for a second and makes you curious about the band's new material.”

The band first self-released an EP (Neon Chameleon 2006) and an album called "Scylla and Charybdis" (2007). In June 2010 they signed to Pomaton EMI in Poland and their most recent full lenght major label debut called "The Other Hand" came out 21st September. The album was recorded in Warsaw and mixed in New York City by Victor Van Vugt, who has worked with acts like: PJ Harvey, Nick Cave and Depeche Mode. The album has been getting great reviews from the most notable music magazines in Poland. Recently "The Other Hand" was awarded with Fryderyki 2011, The Polish Music Industry Award, for Best Debut of 2010.

très.b has given over 100 shows at festivals and venues all over Europe since last year. The band shared the stage with acts like: TV on the Radio, Jamie Lidell, Myslovitz, Spiritualized, Asteroids Galaxy Tour, Seabear and many many more.
