The artist who blazed Chicago’s streets with the “Just Tha Beginning” mixed tape, is back this time with the full length album “I Am What You Ain’t.” “I Am What You Ain't” is the sound people have been waiting to hear, with songs like the club anthem, “Bring It Down”, to the politically correct lyrics of “Fallin.” Trudell was born and raised in Aurora, Illinois right outside of Chicago. Rapping since age thirteen, Trudell got his first break with CDM Productions, where he was a part of the “Streets Is Ours Mix Tape” with a song called “Lovin You.” Soon after, he did his first ever solo project, “Just Tha Beginning”, which he sold hundreds of copies. Having performed at the College of Dupage, Northern Illinois, Ciara's Place, and many other big named spots in the Chicago land area, Trudell is well known in the streets.

Trudell has stolen the heart of the ladies with his single “Worry Bout Me”, a soulful duet featuring the sultry voice of Joslyn. With guest appearances from local legends VAUN and Rennessey, Trudell came out strong this time around. Now acting as CEO/Artist of Tha Wire Records, Trudell’s “I Am What You Ain’t”, has high expectations. “I Am What Ain’t” is a very balanced album with street songs like “Cock Da 4”, to songs like “Threw Out My Life”, a song Trudell wrote about his father. “Cock Da 4” is a track where Trudell gets acceptance from the streets. Here, he talks about things he has seen and goes on in the street. “Threw Out My Life” was written for his father for all of the things his dad has done for him. Trudell stated, “Growing up, I was raised with three brothers who showed me a lot about the streets. My brothers stayed in and out of trouble with the police and my parents. I looked up to them so I always would take their side no matter what. Well, while they would get in trouble with my dad, they had me thinking he was the enemy, when in reality he was only trying to help. I had to write this song more from an apology, than a thank you stand point.” “ I Am What You Ain’t” has sold hundreds in its first week and is heading clear into the thousands.
