Biography

Born in Salisbury, Rhodesia, now known as Harare Zimbabwe during the war for Independence. Brought up traveling country to country within an African/Irish Scottish American House hold, with the added complexities of being the most extrordinary expatriate family with siblings from various heritages. A childhood full of wonders and worries, humor and horror, Till Coming to the UK and living as a ward till the age of 18. So many experiences, so many adventures, so many tears, so so so many reasons to smile, and hope and reach for more…

And so lyrics were written, thoughts were jotted down, poems were penned, prose were committed, plays were enscribed, and then when the sound met these, songs were born, and like this some small corner of peace was found…….

In 2004 I found myself out on performing as a solo artist after winning Glastonbury’s Best Unsigned Artist for the Jazz World Stage, later working along with the Terence Higins Trust I released my own EP where I used the proceeds to donate for the HIV plight in the world, while touring for a year.
