BandRock

Since we were fifteen years old we've all been cultivating our ability to write songs and now that we have music that we're truly proud of, we naturally want to share it with you. We want Atlanta's loyalty! We aim for an invigorating live show; a dynamic performance you'll still remember next year.

Biography

True Blue City is an indie rock band based out of Atlanta, GA. Their newest release, a three-song demo, aims to catch Atlanta’s ear with lead singer Taylor Davis’ one-of-a-kind vocal style. After appearing on America’s Got Talent over the summer, Taylor joined up with Drew Mullins and Mark Ryals to record with producer Matt Goldman (Underoath, Copeland, Casting Crowns). The songs show the band’s versatility; from the synth-laden, Killeresque song “I Hear It All”, to the more epic, raw track “Time To Heal”, True Blue City gives the Atlanta music scene something to look forward to. The last track on the demo, “Bright” is a folky, foot-tapping sort of tune that really brings out the soul in Taylor’s voice. As of now, the boys play shows in and around the Atlanta area in hopes that the city will come to love their music. and help them achieve their dreams. Thanks again for all your support!

Lyrics

Time To Heal

Written By: Taylor Davis, Drew Mullins, and Mark Ryals

(VERSE 1)
I wanna live in the fire glow,
but all you wanted was to put it out
leave it in the cold.
Every time I turn around,
I find the smoke rising up,
coming to life, then I'll say
no more goodbyes.
There's nothing to hide, no.
Don't make it complicated even when it's burning low,
cause I'm your fire

(CHORUS)
Don't say your goodbyes yet
we're still alive, but I'll give you time to heal.
Take time to hear the sounds of the wind,
but it's me that wants to feel you

(VERSE 2)
When I compare your world to mine
it makes me think that we can work it out
and try another time.
Just build it up from the dust
I know you're solid gold so I can't take no
chances with your life
you've got no tricks, no lies
so make it count and don't make me wanna let this go....
this time with you

(CHORUS)
Don't say your goodbyes yet
we're still alive, but I'll give you time to heal.
Take time to hear the sounds of the wind,
but it's me that wants to feel you

(BRIDGE)
The first star is always the brightest.
Just like the one that I can see tonight is.
I wish I may...I just wanna feel it.
I wish I might...that Im not steal away from all these lies.
Oh we can start it over...we can make it right
Make it right

(CHORUS)
Don't say your goodbyes yet
we're still alive, but I'll give you time to heal.
Take time to hear the sounds of the wind,
but it's me that wants to feel you

I Hear It All

Written By: Taylor Davis, Drew Mullins, and Mark Ryals

(VERSE 1)
Just you and I alone for a minute
It might be the last time
And we can see if there's something in it
Eight days a week and you/re on my mind
But it feels like trouble
It feels like trouble
It feels like you/re coming back to me
But my eyes are telling lies, I'm seeing you in double
I'm such a fool to believe

(CHORUS)
Sit up now and give me a line
Something original I hear them all the time
I gotta get you off my mind

(VERSE 2)
If time ever was a window
I'm hoping that it won't close on me
If I don't know what you know, well
Tell me your secrets or let me be
It feels like trouble
It feels like trouble
You/re just not coming back to me
But you/re eyes are telling lies, I/m seeing you in double
I'm such a fool not to see

(CHORUS)
Sit up now and give me a line
Something original I hear them all the time
I gotta get you off my mind
Sit up now and give me a line
Something original I hear them all the time
(I hear it all...I hear it all...Ihear it all)
I gotta get you off my mind
I hear it all...

Bright

Written By: Taylor Davis, Drew Mullins, and Mark Ryals

(VERSE 1)
Pack your things up,
lets break this camp down.
I swear that your love knocks me to the ground.
A buried splinter from chopping the timber alone,
while I was nowhere around.

(CHORUS)
We'll be leaving in the morning.
First light we're away.
I'll bring the sun, you bring the storm,
I've got the medicine for your pain.
Lets pave the way.

(VERSE 2)
These songs and stories around the camplight,
your arm around me, it's too hard to fight
(Ooh) We gotta live. We gotta love.
It's the most important thing for us.
Loosen up girl, just take a moment and realize.

(CHORUS)
We'll be leaving in the morning.
First light we're away.
I'll bring the sun, you bring the storm,
I've got the medicine for your pain.
Lets pave the way.
