True Crime Authors

True Crime Authors

BandRock

Crossing the melodic tendencies and overdriven guitars of the Brit rock scene with the driving, dynamic backbone found in many of America's great rock bands, True Crime Authors' music is filled with emotion, timeless rhythms and vocals that appeals to many genres of listeners.

Biography

Formed in the fall of 2005, True Crime Authors began as a studio project between two longtime friends, Michael McGraw (ex-Yellow Miseries) and Lee Sammartino (ex-Erase the Day). Over the next eight months the two would write and record over 60 songs, soon realizing their distinctly different musical backgrounds (Brit rock and American hard rock) were turning simple, well-crafted acoustic songs into something more. Within weeks, bassist Justin Gardner (ex-Chagrin) was added to the mix and the project turned a creative corner, adding more life to the months and months of already recorded demos.

Crossing the melodic tendencies and overdriven guitars of the Brit rock scene with the driving, dynamic backbone found in many of America’s great rock bands, True Crime Authors has begun making their mark with their powerful, live energy and strong songwriting foundation.
