The True Love Band is a family band. Giving musical sounds pleasure from the 70's and 80's in the areas of Jazz, Funk, Soul and Gospel.
The Band consist of the Father, Donald L. Buckner and his three children. Daughter- Katrina Buckner, Age 17, Son-Donald C. Buckner, 16 and Daughter-Breanna Buckner, 15.
Our band is special because we are a family and we promote family values, togetherness and caring We play at peace rallies, family reunions, picnics, festivals etc. In the Summer of 2010 we started our own neighborhood peace rally and fundraiser at Farmer John's Plaza on the corner of Gratitot and Harper. People from all around would come and hear our music. Operation Get Down which is located across the street commended us on helping to bring some joy and peace to the area and calming the volience and promoting peace and love. And Farmer John and Metro PC in the plaza loved the way we attracted business especially families who often stop and have a seat with their children to listen to the music and shop. And now currently we are promoting the businesses at the Grand Land Shopping Plaza on Fenkell/Grand River in Northwest Detroit. We have been scheduled for the Summer of 2011/2012
