True Strings' first self-titled CD contains twelve songs. Song writing is an ongoing process and many singles have been written since the release of this CD. Un-mastered singles in the process of post-production can be heard on the True Strings website at http://www.truestrings.com where fans can join True Strings in the production of music and watch how it happens. True Strings also provides links to Soundcloud and other streaming sites so fans across the globe can access their latest material. When fans join as a member of the True Strings website all downloads of un-mastered singles are free.

True Strings was formed as a garage band in Newport Beach in 1992. Founding members Mitch Brookhyser and Danny Scholz served as the primary songwriters. Both were influenced by the singer/songwriter combinations of the 60s and 70s. The pair went on to work as Los Angeles studio musicians for many years where they gained valuable experience in music production. Brookhyser and Scholz stayed in contact and reformed True Strings in 2012 to produce their original guitar-based rock music in private studios they operate. They released their first CD in March of 2013 and have another due for release in Spring 2014.
