Bio

Truth About Lies explodes on the music scene.Formed in 2006, Guitarist Sean Moore set to create something different and unique to the bland and monotonous scene in Phoenix,Az. After constant lineup changes, the five key musicians were found. With influences ranging from country and hip hop to metal and 80's pop,the variety of creativity led to amazing compositions, something never heard before. Drummer Jack waters brought a country background from Oklahoma combined with hip hop technique and ear piercing dynamics. Along with a groovy and funky bass playing of Jake Ekelman, this alliance formed a strong backbone to the band. Tommy Parker and Sean Moore are the ying and yang to the heart of the creative writing process.Tommy growing up with ten siblings and a British background, brought in a Beetles and late 60's influence. Sean's Jamaican family and influences of reggae and Hard Rock and Metal, combine to create melodies that no band could ever imagine dreaming of. Dyson Strife influenced by Maynard of Tool and Chino of the Deftones, along with metal dynamic of Korn and Mudvayne created unique vocal arrangement, "Life story lyrics" and emotion which catapulted us above other bands. In January of 2009, We set our sites on playing for national acts and accomplished that abruptly by opening for Snot and Hemlock at the Marquee theater in that month. In August of 2009,Truth About Lies went back to the recording studio to work on new material. We immediately struck gold releasing our EP featuring "Shallow" which is currently in local radio rotation. In November we lined up another national act opening for Flaw and are in works for a Jaigermeister tour in 2010
