From southern Baptist gospel to your local street corner gospel, the influence of Soul is undeniable. Especially when born and raised less than a half hour's drive from James Brown's stomping grounds. Imagine mixing up a recipe with such ingredients as: Andre 3000's wit, Pimp C's attitude, Goodie Mob's storytelling ability with with Brown's ability to "feel" music, to top it off. Born and bred in South Carolina's Aiken County, rising artist TRUZY is the manifestation of said recipe. He comes along with stories of small town realities and big city dreams. TRUZY tells stories of one's battles with fleshly pleasures, accompanied by soul searching hymns. I believe Pimp C coined this style of music "Country Rap Tunes". You can just can just call this, TRUZY.
