TSF

Searching for a more profound means of artistic expression, TSF takes the common woes of everyday life and glorifies them. Petty, banal problems are deep and convoluted in the mind of singer/songwriter Johnny Alfi. The band manages to express a disdain for life, while being unassuming and logical in their cynicism, a task very few artists have successfully accomplished. Their message transcends through the music easily as the instrumentation and lyrics are both in their own right articulate. Standing out amongst emerging artists, TSF is a band the puts forth a notion of quality and longevity. These four best friends from high school maintain a forte in smart, dark, and melodic rock and roll.

Live performances become a breeding ground of inspiration as viewers watch them play with conviction and sincerity, reminiscent of music history’s best performers. It is as plain as the nose on your face that TSF upholds a highest standard of perfection in their music and image, never performing with an out of place hair, smile, or remark. Every performance ends with each member walking off stage soaked with sweat and passion.

TSF embodies all aspects of the lifestyle they sing about, taking on more than just music. Alfi received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of California, Los Angeles and currently resides in Los Angeles as an avid painter and poet. McGurk and Farmanara both received degrees in Filmmaking from the University of Southern California and Cal State Northridge respectively. Lastly, Fremaux received his B.A. in Photography from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. These four lads are modern renaissance men holding their heads high knowing the validity and significance of their created culture. Nonetheless, at the end of the day, it is their music that is the ringleader of their movement.
