Bio

Tsumi has only been around for four years but their history seems to be much longer. After Luke Sticka asked to play with Heather Sticka (then Rupp) in late 2003 at an acoustic open stage in Lincoln, Nebraska, they started a band with a djimbe player. Since then they've progressed from a jamming acoustic rock trio to a full on rock band, replete with the songs written to back up the sound.
Tsumi is also no stranger to the studio and they are planning their release of the latest shining example of Heather's writings and the bands' interpretation of Edward Cobb's Tainted Love. Due out in late spring/early summer of 2008 the album titled "Unhappy Things" is full of moving songs with topics as varied as addiction, love, and writer's block. Now when we say 'moving' we mean it. Concert goers have been moved to tears more than once and goosebumps have been reported multiple times. Heather says this about the album: "I have never been involved in a project I could be so proud of. "Unhappy Things" is the record I've been dreaming of writing my whole life. This is the sound I've been dreaming of my whole life. This whole project really is a piece of me."
