Tuesday Spoils’ colourful, epic and unorthodox sound isn’t all too surprising, especially since the majority of its members hadn’t really played their particular instruments before joining the line-up: - A vocalist / songwriter inspired by the genius of Paul Simon and the new age folk movement - A keys man with influences ranging from Deep Purple to Gary Numan - Drummer Tom with thumping unconventional rhythms - A bassist with the musical version of ADD - And a lead guitarist who likes to gig wearing crocs.
So when these five musicians from diverse backgrounds came together in late 2006, none knew what direction the music would eventually take. The resulting sonic journey is a ride of colourful music, a vivid landscape of imagery and air waves. The dreamy and epic sound is an organic combination of their collective influences, and their tightly woven melody / harmony vocal lines and quirky hooks sit nicely above the pulsing rhythm section that drives their songs.
