Tuff Enuff

Tuff Enuff

 Grayslake, Illinois, USA

We are a highly original sounding power trio fueled by a blues influenced rock background. We are a very high energy and have played numerous venues throughout the Chicagoland area. This ranges from Cubby Bear Chicago, to Double Door, to playing with the famous Otis Day and the Knights.

We have been together now for over ten years. Most of our influence early on came from the direction and style of musicians like Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. However, as we matured as musicians and began to broaden our horizons, a more accurate sound comparison would be that of the Derek Trucks band, Government Mule, The Black Keys, and the Black Crowes. We have completed two albums over the last 5 or 6 years and we are just now in the mastering stage of our third. (Hoping for digi distribution in the next couple of months) What set's us a part from other bands is the musicianship and intensity we bring to the table. We all have degrees from Universities that somehow included music and we all have had the opportunity to learn our individual roles in the group in a very in depth way. No matter what we play, covers or originals, we always sound like us...not a cover band.

Can't Help Myself

Written By: Jason Walsh

Cause I can’t help myself, when I’m with you,
I just wish that once, you’d tell me what to do,
I know you see right through me, and the way I carry on,
Should I keep on pushin, or am I movin on,

Help me understand, what’s been goin on,
Help me understand, which side you’re on,
You need to tell me, just where I stand,
Tell me am I walkin, or gonna be your man,

I’ve got this feeling, ya I got it bad,
I won’t take no chances, though I wish I had,
You drive me crazy, like you want me too,
Something about you, make me come unglued

Today, tomorrow, next week, next month,
I have no clue, which way, to jump,
Can you tell me, which way to go,
Something about you, make come unglued,

Wastin Time

Written By: Jason Walsh

Wastin time here,
I’ve been wastin so much time on you,
Wastin time here,
I’ve been wastin so much time on you,

I’ve been lookin for some answers,
Lookin for some answers, yea what’s goin on,
Aint go no, leg to stand on,
No leg to stand on, with me and you,

Funny way to show your intentions,
Take two steps forward, then you walk for the door,
Makes me think you got some inventions,
You created a world, don’t know what’s real anymore,

Now you got me at a crossroads,
Do I want to hang around here anymore,
You’ve got me so tied up in what you wanna do,
Can’t help but wonder, what am I waitin for

Written By: Jason Walsh

You break down, I’ll pick you up,
You don’t know why this happened,
You’re walkin blind, countin time,
And you think that you are broken,

Troubled hearts and troubled souls, you know they never sleep
Long dark nights so down and out, their promises don’t keep,
I been sittin by myself, just waiting for an end,
I watch you try to find yourself, but you don’t ever bend,

Talk yourself out of life, I’ll tell ya that aint livin,
What happened to that moral high, or is that all forgotten,
What happened to you walkin tall, what happened to your pride,
It’s almost like you love the pain, your drug of choice inside,

Let him kiss you, with the kisses of his mouth,
For the love of life you used to have, tell me what’s this all about,
Now you’re just so down on life, can’t let the band times go,
Maybe you’re the one who’s changed, but you don’t ever know,
