Bio

Since its formation on and around the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse campus in 2002, T.U.G.G. has emerged from one of the region’s best-kept secrets into one of its most promising young acts. Mixing elements of rock, reggae, ska, and punk with an ultra-high energy live show and catchy, real life lyrics. “They allow their [individual] performances to flow together into a more harmonious whole, demonstrating a rare degree of trust and generosity.”- (Matthew Pollesel, Splendid Magazine)

Over the last year, T.U.G.G. has played to packed houses filled with familiar faces and in brand new venues filled with new fans and new friends. Over 3000 CDs have been moved into the hands of their loyal fan-base. This year has found them playing shows in 50 cities across 10 states. They have shared the stage with artists like: Slightly Stoopid, Lucky Boy’s Confusion, The Big Wu, The Kingston 10, Rusted Root, Karl Denson, and many others.

A successful 2006 saw T.U.G.G. travel the west coast on their second tour, which included stops at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, and the Key Club in Los Angeles. Last summer, T.U.G.G. was invited to play at Midwest ‘Mega-Festivals’, the 10,000 Lakes Festival, and Rock Fest. ‘Some Day’, the single from Fill The Tank is featured with national artists on the marketing compilation Decent Xposure Volume 5. The song also gained national attention as a ‘Moment of Greatness’ on the Alan Kabel radio show. The Flow, T.U.G.G.’s debut album, was named a 2004 “CD of the Year” award winner on Kweevak Online, an independent radio station.

With a rapidly growing, grassroots fan base, T.U.G.G. is looking forward to continuous touring in support of their studio CD: Fill the Tank.
