A Fork in the Road by Tumbleweed Rob & The Southwest Junction: You may recall Tumbleweed Rob from his band The Tumbling Tumbleweeds, but this founding member has too much musical juju for one band! And fans of good old American music are the lucky recipients of his overflow of talent. Cowboy, country, Western, rootsy, Americana and more, Rob’s newest offering features his full, smooth voice and wholesome, well-wrought lyrics, and it makes fine use of harmonies, too. He’s accompanied this time out by a handful of dynamic and accomplished musicians who make this album swing, sway, stroll and snap. - Matthew Mayo, Music Critic, Big Sky Journal, Summer 2013 Issue

“What a pleasure to listen to this album, for those who love western ballads, tinged here with a bit of folk!
The only track a little less interesting is a piece that is a cross between bluegrass and modern country. As for the songs, savor the superb Fork In The Road, When You Look At Me, Home Again or It Might As Well Be You, you will say how much you like it. As for waltzes, he spoils us with Ida Lou / Ida Lee and Roy Rogers. Finally, to spice things up, he adds I Don’t Want To Be A Cowboy Anymore, the western swing track that leans a bit more to the western side.” - Bernard Boyat, Le Cri Du Coyote Magazine

Born in Los Angeles, CA and a descendent of the Chiricahua Red Paint Apache people Rob has very strong ties to his heritage and a strong affection for the American Southwest. His songwriting style is both very personal and also very heavily influenced by the Acoustic Roots Music he has been drawn to throughout his life time.

With Tumbleweed Rob & The Southwest Junction, Rob sets his sights on his own life span of influences, from his Southwestern American roots to the music of his formative years exploring a more contemporary side of his artistic calling. From tender ballads to swingin’ honky tonk or two-step dance music to bouncing Bluegrass rhythms, Tumbleweed Rob & The Southwest Junction’s got it all!
