"Paragon Brasil"

Tupiniquim arrived and showed how it is possible to mix rock, african-samba, bossa nova and still rescue the Tropicalia. In his debut album from, Made in Sao Paulo, Tupiniquin shows influences of Vinicius de Morais, Caetano Veloso, Nação Zumbi and Cidadão Instigado, all at once.

It was curious to understand how all this works together? So stay tuned to interview the singer gave the team the Paragon Brasil:

Paragon: Why promote the Tropicalia?

Tupiniquin: The Tropicalia should be considered a Brazilian musical style as well, as with the Bossa Nova. This is one of the first reasons. I see that all my friends with interesting and authoritative work inside and outside the country are and always will be Tropicalistas. Then, re-Tropicalia is natural, just a continuation of which could not be taken forward in the 70's.

Paragon: What public you want to achieve with this project?

Tupiniquin: To claim is to much pretension. But do I write my music for free flow at all horizons. People like me, perhaps, in tastes and styles and flavors. I want to reach people who: like me, are always behind new music, good things and contemporary. And I have had good results.

Visa Free: And how was the production of this project?

Tupiniquin: I began production in 2006, at home. In 2007 I went to Sao Paulo - capital, where I started the recordings with the help of friends and excellent musicians and producers from Brazil and abroad, such as: Regis Damasceno, Rian Batista, Leo Barreto (Citizen Instigado) my dear Tita Lima, Karina Buhr ( Comadre Fulozinha), Dustan Gallas, Guizado, Axe and Male (Otto, Nação Zumbi), among others. And now, nearly complete one year that I am in Myspace, I have friends, I have a loyal audience that attends the page and a record label (Curve Music). All the Internet, and Internet does not mind in this sense, is globalization. So it is that I let the music lead me.

Paragon: There is an ideal time to launch a job like that?

Tupiniquin: The ideal time is the exact moment when the work is done, is not it? I am inspired at any time then any time is good for me! I leave that with the record.

Since Freedom: You Made in Sao Paulo considers an inspiration?

Tupiniquin: Inspiration, perspiration, great music and healthy disputes, and very calm.

Since Freedom: What you would highlight this work?

Tupiniquin: The presence of musicians from various locations, mainly from Fortaleza, Recife, who live in Sao Paulo. That, indeed, was what gave name to the disc. He was done in Sao Paulo, and is miscigenado as the city.

Since Freedom: What are the musical influences that you wished that transparecesse?

Tupiniquin: also highlight the influence of rock guitar in English with Afrosamba, Bossa, "melodicamente" speaking, and my way of creating, because each composer has his way of composing. It would be the merger of the season, in which London and talentosamente disputed glamourosamente speaking with the Rio de Janeiro, Vinicius de Moraes and Tom Jobim to be the most touched.

Paragon: Tell us about the beginnig of your career?

Tupiniquin: When I played an instrument for the first time, a xylophone, I felt it had done so before. I belived since it well spent and child to work discreetly and, even in relation to my family. I started to compose at 17 years, without wanting to, just to give this a song for a girl who I was in love in college. Since then stopped no more, because I discovered that. Moreover, "Incenso" and "John the truck," bands of Made in Sao Paulo, this stage are "teen". I have bars on Sampa, but did not like to do much. I tried to be journalist, I tried to be so much until caminhoneiro, lived outside working with services for "Latin American", but when I saw and heard a disc of SUBA, major European producer now deceased, which showed Cibelle a convenience store, I resolved write the songs that had already composed in my caixola. Today, I find it very funny, because I am a friend and worked together in my debut disc, with all that worked on this disk that great Brazilian artist who has helped me and do not know. I discovered this last year, when I had pneumonia and started reading several discografias the quarter. I found something magical and attenuator the point of showing me that I could not escape more than myself and my music. Then decided to adopt the surname of my grandmother "Galdino Tupiniquins", took the S, and turned the Tupiniquin.

Paragon: What do you expect to win in your career?

Tupiniquin: I want to get to the point where I can use my art and my gift that God sent to help in any way different people, ideologically and spiritually. For me it would not be selfish and use my music not just to sell records, but to do something much more in favour of persons in need of leadership and support of all areas.

Paragon: Do you think still need to improve in your work?

Tupiniquin: I'm always looking me and being analyzed, improvements ar - Pedro Lucas Rodrigues

From the innovators that looked for inspiration in
the lyrics of Vinícius de Moraes other insertions
emanated, with disconcerting beats from Mutantes
(Tropicália era), the free ruffle rhythms of Chico Science and, even tough he turns his nose up, a little seasoning of Pop via experimentalism.

“I am a roots composer, in the head of a pop
producer”, Tupiniquin admits. Here is the link that brings Bossa to our ears. He is not “João”, he is Jorge, he is not “Gilberto”, he is Tupiniquin in constant affirmation that the "new" always comes.
Finally, Elis Regina was right.
