Bio
Some people hear the name Turbo Sunshine and they think they have it all figured out. Yet here is much more going on with this band than just a sun-shiny name. Every object that gets between the sun and the earth casts a shadow, and the shadows and the darkness they create are just as much fodder for exploration by this band as the light which shines. And much of this exploration will be conducted at hyper speed.
Singer Brandon Strecker and Keyboardist Devin Tait have played together in no less than five bands, and they have known each other the entire time Brandon has been alive. They also happen to have the same parents. Dolly Dagger first joined musical forces with the two brothers as a go go dancer in a previous band. Originally recruited to join Turbo Sunshine as a singer, she agreed to join only if she would be allowed to play drums. The fact that she had never once so much as struck a drum didn’t phase her one bit.
As the calendar pages turned, the rays of Turbo Sunshine only shed light on a dark little room in a downtown rehearsal space. Tiny sparks grew into fires, and suddenly from the flames burst a sound, the sound of Turbo Sunshine.
