Bio

The Reps deliver a new exciting signature sound that displays a variety of unique song concepts and thoughtful lyrics. Their influences include early west coast music such as Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and Tupac recognizing their story telling abilities. The Reps decided to follow after these pioneers. They were also influenced by today's big names like Ludacris and Slim Shady who are creative and yet great story tellers that deliver catchy and fun songs that attract mass audiences.
Fred and Ace are brothers who grew up in Portland, Oregon primarily introduced to music by their mother, a singer in a local group, at an early age. Once their mother noticed their interest in music she contacted their uncle who was a local DJ at the time and supplied the pre-teen Reps with basic studio equipments like mics, drum machines and keyboards. They started to create their own songs from home. They began to get good responses from their friends and classmates and started to participate in school talent shows. From there, The Reps began to master their sound and get more serious and network with local rappers and managers that promised success. After waiting on empty promises, they realized it would be in their best interest to create their own business structure. The Reps began to promote their music by creating mix tapes and promotional CDs and distributing them at night clubs, fairs and malls to familiarize people with their sound. The word began to spread on the streets that The Reps were "HOT". They brought an industry sound with great lyrics and good production. On the road to success, The Reps were opening acts for a variety of artists such as; Too-Short, E-40, Devin the Dude and were featured on a 3-day mini tour with Shady Records’ artist Obie Trice, to name a few. The Reps have built a well-known reputation in their local market and are currently wrapping up their highly anticipated album as well as filming a video for their first single entitled "Paper Dance". As independent artists and company they strive to demonstrate a higher level of sound quality and marketing. They are currently working on expanding their market and booking national shows as well as local. They believe that once they are heard they will acquire fans from all over the nation.
