"This Weeks unmissable Gigs"

CAMBRIDGE band 12 Clay Feet are in the grand final of The Music League Competition, a national competition that that has attracted much media and industry attention.

The four-piece indie rockers play urgent, but beautiful songs, and were originally known on the scene as Delphi. Fronted by Ian Jeffs (who also plays guitar in the band), other members include Jay Jeffs (lead guitar), Ollie Porsa on bass and Bob Radford on drums. With their debut, self-funded album currently being recorded (to be titled Totem Bells), and plans for a UK and even European tour on the cards, the hard working quartet are certainly creating a buzz. Their forthcoming performance at The Music League final is on Saturday at The Winterwell Festival in Gloucestershire, where they will be competing against three other bands. They won their place in the final by coming second in the popular online showcase, scoring an impressive 678 fan votes. For more information check out

"Twelve Clay Feet Cambridge style indie rock"

Finally some proof that there is life in the indie rock genre. Cambridge band Twelve Clay Feet turn in a thoughtful performance on "Sour Rum" that easily distinguishes them from the pack of Oasis or The View clones that otherwise pollute my ears. Jay Jeff's guitar switches between light and shade as few others do these days with the result having the mark of greatness upon it. Quality! - BluesBunny.com

Bio

Cambridge’s Twelve Clay Feet are an interesting proposition. The release of their debut album, Totem Bells, mixed by Fraser Smith (Ian Brown / Shed Seven), in February 2012 was met with critical acclaim. Drawing comparisons to the early sounds of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and even Radiohead - owing much to vocalist / guitarist Ian Jeffs’ appreciation of classic songwriting and his uniquely gruff vocals (Robert Plant / Mark Lanegan). The band’s origins stretch back to the womb, with twins Ian Jeffs (lead vocals) and Jay Jeffs (lead guitar), who combined their talents with Ollie Porsa (bass) and Bob Radford (drums) and started the band in 2010.

From the first track their impact resonates, alongside muscular bass lines and driving guitars, their sound is a boisterous, melody-laden rock. Now working on their second album and first releasing a three track limited edition EP, we see Twelve Clay Feet re-imagine the work of their heroes and leave a lasting fingerprint of their own.
Already receiving comparisons to Kings Of Leon, Brian Jones Town Massacre and John Spencer, the band are busy picking up a cult underground following, a starting point from which the critics agree, should soon see them secure their well-deserved place in the big adoring limelight.

Now signed to Magnificent Artist Management, the band plan a European Tour and a visit to Japan in 2013. Through the release of their new EP, they hope to secure sufficient radio and press exposure to secure full label and industry backing for the release of their second studio album.
