TWIN CITIES LADY KNIGHT-PRECIOUS

Search my soul
Feel my anger rise
As you’ve been told
The truth lies in the skies ……

INTRO.
Those are the opening words of the groundbreaking single Search My Soul, by Precious, phenomenal and dynamic young sister coming at you straight out of both the Mid-West (Minneapolis, Minnesota) and the South Central US (Houston, Texas), who writes, sings, dances, raps, and recites poetry. Search My Soul has had serious radio play on KMOJ, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, earning her rave reviews from music critics, creating a growing and loyal fan base, and generating a lot of interest in Precious from music industry professionals. Her voice is hypnotic, her lyrics exotic, and her style and delivery so electric that it will literally blow your mind.

TRACK RECORD
Precious started writing songs when she was seven years old - that’s “7” - which was “at least 12 years ago” she says, shyly. It all started when she started to sing in the church choir at Washington Chapel, in her hometown of Houston, Texas, where she also began taking piano lessons. Her Grandmother, Ms.Coretha Mcmillon, was always her number one fan. She was actually behind it all and had even helped facilitate the piano lessons. Everyday, Nana would remind her that she had a precious heart, so as a lasting tribute, Precious adopted that name as her own. As time went on, Precious would hone her skills by singing with some of the other children in the neighborhood, along with other young members of the Church Choir. They were constantly singing old Gospel songs and Holiday Carols - both in their spare time and by command performance.

INFLUENCES
It is hard to name all of the musicians and different types or styles of music that have influenced Precious over the years and throughout her singing and songwriting career. The strongest influence has most certainly come from those performers and artists with whom she has had the honor to perform, such as Prince, and George Clinton, with Parliament Funkadelic, as well as those whom she has otherwise met face to face, such as Naughty by Nature, OutKast, Next, and ESG, among others. They all lent an ear, and took the time to give honest advice on the music industry, generally, and on building and managing a career in it. Other artists and artistes, to whom Precious has listened over the years, including Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Taylor Dayne and Mahalia Jackson, amongst many others, have also inspired her unique and powerful vocal style.

TURNING POINTS ??
There’s one that always comes to mind, which was when she performed?? onstage with Prince and his invited guests in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1999. That was his long-awaited “Party Like Its 1999” New Year’s Eve event, shown on pay per view cable television. You can even spot her onstage in the telecast. Precious was always networking, and she had the opportunity that evening to meet George Clinton, Rosie Gaines, and of course, Prince, the host of the show. It was then that Precious realized she was not yet fully prepared to properly and professionally exploit her skills. She knew that she had the raw talent and drive to make it in the music business, but she had to educate herself about the industry. So, she resolved to learn - reading, asking questions, attending talent fairs, and artist showcases, and industry seminars, and networking; while at the same time writing those lyrics and testing the limits of her voice in the recording studio. She was quite surprised to see that George Clinton recognized her when he performed in a local Denver,Co venue (Free your mind) with Parliament Funkadel
