Biography

Twins of a Gazelle are a collective of Washington DC musicians who are creating extraordinary soundscapes. . While classified under the label of an “indie” artist Twins of a Gazelle are always striving to evolve their sound. Described as a “confident oddity” Twins of a Gazelle makes it impossible to pull away from their infectious works.
Currently Twins of a Gazelle are hosting a monthly concert series, which began in April, at DC coffee shop Mid City Caffe. The “First Fridays” concert series hosted by Twins of a Gazelle, features a variety of DC area musicians. The next upcoming First Friday event is July 2nd. With constant song writing and rehearsal Twins of a Gazelle perform an ever-evolving set list each month.
Dave Mann (bassist, guitarist, vocals), who has found success with his DC indie rock band Mittenfields, has recruited a varied menagerie of great musicians. Emily Chimiak lends vocals and violin, Tom Heiman splits time between his keys and guitar, Caleb Astay on guitar, and Saadot provides the half of the rhythm section playing drums. Twins also adds classical elements to their works with the additions of Laurel Curry on oboe, Kat Elizabeth playing flute and Arthur Harrison providing a welcome twist performing with his theremin.
With a solidified core of musician Twins of a Gazelle is looking to expand their current performance schedule. Twins of a Gazelle looks forward to seeing you a First Fridays performance to experience us for yourself.
