"The Sun Chronicle"

"Unlike the local bands, though, they do not have the typical sound. For one, you can actually understand the lyrics, which surpisingly have meaning."

"As it turns out, their music is just rock, all the different kinds of it are heard in their music. Going to see them live is worth the money you have to pay." - Melissa Costa

Bio

Since, April of 2001 Twist of Fate or T.O.F has been a band of brothers that love what they do. The band has 4 members: Mike (Cooch) Cucinotta plays guitar and is the primary songwriter for the band, Doug McCarthy is the drummer, Dan Neveu is the lead vocalist, and with addition of Mike Vignale as bass player. With creative guitar playing along with solid drumming, emotional lyrics and vocals, and thumping bass, T.O.F brings back the rock to the now pop and hip-hop music scene. With influences stemming from heavy bands such as Reveille to rock bands such as Incubus and Creed, T.O.F finds that spot right in the middle to satisfy any musical taste.

The song “Unstable” ,which kicks off the demo, provides an accurate depiction of the band’s sound. With the rhythm section providing a strong backbeat ,the raw emotion of the song is able to shine through. “Gia” is an emotional ballad that explains the love for a girl. This, showing the band’s softer side and range is something anyone and everyone can relate to. The bands heaviest song “Fuel My Fire,” not currently on the disc, is a song written about negative people, who just add to the fire in our heart and make us work harder to get to where we want. With crushing guitar, double bass drums, pounding bass and haunting vocals this song will floor you with an ending where the music abruptly stops leaves you wanting more, thus, setting the stage for a great live show.

Twist of Fate has played at many Boston area clubs including Jarrod’s Place, the largest rock venue in New England. T.O.F has also branched out to other areas of the country such as Los Angeles, California playing at the Sunset Strip’s own Cat Club. Also, the band has been receiving airplay at many local area colleges, including in-studio acoustic performances.

Beyond what they have already achieved T.O.F has the drive passion and capability to do what is needed to realize their dreams. This family of musicians will stop at nothing to do so.
