POWERFUL MUSICAL AND ROMANTIC CHEMISTRY

DRIVE THE PASSION AND AUTHENTICITY OF

TWO CITIES ONE WORLD, A MULTI-CULTURAL

DUO WHO ‘LET THE WHOLE WORLD DISAPPEAR’

IN A FUSION OF POP, FUNK, SOUL, JAZZ AND LATIN VIBES

Everyone has a heart for a great love story, and the serendipitous moments that brought St. Louis bred guitarist and multi-faceted “groove masta” Jared Cattoor and Bulgarian born singer/songwriter Anna Yanova together while both were studying at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood are truly the stuff of romantic magic. But the journey that led them to become husband and wife is just the foundation for their deep musical connection driven by the perfect combination of authenticity, soulfulness, groove, rawness intelligence and infectiousness. Drawing from their a multitude of influences (from Snarky Puppy and Stevie Wonder to bass great Victor Wooten, Michael Jackson, Norah Jones and Corinne Bailey Rae), the duo – collectively known as Two Cities, One World – infuses a mix of pop, funk, soul, jazz and Latin vibes into their new full length album Let The Whole World Disappear.

Two Cities, One World is more than just a clever moniker referring to St. Louis and Sofia, their cities of origin. It’s been their defining mission since joining forces to spread a positive message and their beautiful, rhythmically eclectic music for the world. Big believers in the importance of personal and spiritual development, Anna and Jared – who released their debut EP Together in 2014 – compose all their songs together, with much of their inspiration drawn from years of traveling throughout the U.S. and Europe, and even a lengthy separation due to immigration and visa issues. “We’re not just creating music here,” says Jared. “We’re about a lifelong dedication to supporting people positively in the world. Everything we talk and write about is super empowering and using our outlets as artists and performers to command truth, spread love and inspire people to do great things.”

After getting married in 2013, Anna and Jared began collaborating on Up!, Anna’s pop, folk and soul influenced debut album as a solo artist. After its release, they decided to blend their styles and began working on their first songs as a band. Ten months later, they released Together. They’ve split their time between the U.S. and Bulgaria ever since. In the summer of 2016, the two toured Bulgaria, playing 26 concerts in less than three months. During the tour, they won seven awards at the music competition Pop Rock Fest Nessebar.” They held their CD release party for Let The Whole World Disappear at one of the country’s premiere venues, Sofia Live  Club. The following week, they shot a music video for the jazzy, old school funk single “Suga Daddy. They also tracked live recordings of five songs at Studio1 of Bulgarian National Radio. Currently, they are actively touring the U.S. in support of the project.

The album’s 12 tracks are so rich with sonic, rhythmic and cultural diversity that it’s best to listen to it in its entirety multiple times to catch all the crafty nuances and ultimate transcendence. A key emotional compelling entry point to the experience is the uplifting folky, funky and samba flavored opener “I See The Sun,” which they wrote during their travels in Europe about the intense longing they felt when they couldn’t reside in the same country for a few months. They delve into darker and edgier jazz/blues/soul territory on “Honey Sweet Voice,” which finds Anna lashing out at the alluring but negative voices in her head that were trying to stop her from living her life and musical dreams. The duo’s other favorites include “She’s a Beauty,” a dreamy acoustic love song to their beloved Bulgarian rescue dog and the abstract love song “In My Dream. Anna sings in her native Bulgarian on two tracks, including the one that translates to “Footprints,” a song about falling in love and “leaving footprints on my soul because you swept me off my feet.”

Anna says, “We love being able to express ourselves 100 percent both in the studio and onstage, where we do a lot of jamming and rarely if ever play the songs straight, the way we recorded them. Because we let things flow naturally, there is a great freedom to the music we make. That freedom gives us wings.” Jared adds, “I’ve always been adventurous, and Two Cities One World has been the ultimate insane adventure. Our box is really open to exploring new territory, musically and geographically, all the time. I don’t know many people who get to live this kind of adventurous lifestyle, and Anna and I are continually excited by all the possibilities.”
