"Friday – Toad Tavern"

Two Days Drive--- in addition to being the first musicians I played with when I moved to Boulder in 2005, Matthew and Stevland from Two Days Drive are two of the nicest guys I know in Colorado. They're also inspirationally dedicated musicians who have been grinding away at a set of songs in which they (and I) really believed in for what seems like forever now. I have it on good authority that their record is approaching completion, and they are finally beginning to play out, although Matthew acknowledges that performing as a trio (with bassist Jed Riley) they're still one piece short of their ideal alignment. The core is there, with jaw-droppingly proficient drumming, snappy acoustic guitar, and a lead singer who really makes you stand up and take notice – Matthew's controlled phrasing, fluid range and sick sustain put all local monotone croakers (myself included) to shame. If you're an unemployed lead guitarist or keyboard player you should really call them. - Mark Donohue

'Pages Fold' is available at Best Buy (Colorado stores and online everywhere), iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, eMusic, Napster and Directly from Currently the song 'Where The Ghosts All Go' is receiving at airplay around the Colorado market. "Where The Ghosts All Go" is a top 20 finisher at!

If you thought you knew Two Days Drive, keep your ears open. The guys describe their sound as an ‘ever-evolving culmination of faculty and experience,’ since there foundation in 2005. Their current sound can be categorized as acoustic/pop/rock. Their sound is considered a blend of Matchbox Twenty, Phish, Genesis and Ray Lamontagne.

The members of the band hail from all over the country. Matthew on vocals and guitar is from Illinois; Stevland from Colorado plays drums and adds percussion, while Jed plays the bass and sings backup, he hails from Iowa. They all bring diverse styles and sounds to the band, forming a varied, yet cohesive resonance that is truly unique. Their debut EP, Pages Fold is a strong mix of acoustic pop/rock sound, mixed with songwriting that is sure to please anyone with a reliable eardrum.

What sets Two Days Drive apart from the rest of the pack is, “Our imaginative writing method. It is different without putting people off. We aim to create a recognizable sound while bringing fresh/new ideas at the same time.” The music is meant to tell a story, composed of genuine lyrics and unique melodies.

To their audience and fans, the guys of Two Days Drive say, “If you love us, pass the music on and let’s create a legitimate grassroots following. Help us reach our dreams; even though our goals appear large, with all of you, we can continue to write the next chapter of Two Days Drive.”
