Two Daze Gone

Two Daze Gone

BandRockClassic Rock

If you've ever seen a fan at one of Paul McCartney's shows or that girl in the front row during "Moonage Daydream" in the "Spiders From Mars" Motion Picture you will know why we make music.

Biography

The band was formed with the intention of writing and recording a classic rock record filled with all the great influences of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Every song takes the listener on a completely different journey while still capturing the sound and landscape of the unforgiving desert known as Southern California.

A major record company or long list of high profile contacts won’t be found here. “We release our records on our own label so we can make the music we want to make, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do”.

HARD LUCK CAFE
Lyrics & Music by Jesse Wray, Dave Keckhut
Published by Wrayline Music © 2006 All rights reserved Lyrics by permission

Verse 1
People searching for love
Hoping their time will come
Will someone show me the way
Promises of better days

Chorus

Blinded by darkness someplace you can go
Follow the neon lights
Lonely people it will be ok
Just remember the hard luck cafe

Verse 2
Feeling hopeless hallow inside
Driving down the highway of life
Desperate eyes can’t see the sign
Wanting more and not knowing why

Verse 3
Doorman says come on inside
Welcoming all that want in
Wandering round in all the noise
Is this the end that begins?

MR. RADIO
Lyrics & Music by Jesse Wray, Dave Keckhut, Dan Lorenze
Published by Wrayline Music © 2006 All rights reserved Lyrics by permission

Verse 1
I heard a song today
It took me back to a place in time
Oh the memories just flowed and I was feelin’ so fine
The DJ just knew how I felt
When I heard it the first time
Lord I knows everybody has a song that makes them feel alright

I can’t tell you
How many times
The radio saved my life

Chorus
Like an old lost friend
Your with me till the end
A helping hand along the way
When I hear that song
I turn it up and sing along
Mr. Radio play that song again

Verse 2
Chills go down my spine almost every time
Feels like their singing right to me
A call on the phone
Just another lonely soul
A dedication to the one they love

When the DJ plays
I close my eyes
I just seem to slip away

WORKIN
Lyrics & Music by Jesse Wray, Dave Keckhut
Published by Wrayline Music © 2006 All rights reserved Lyrics by permission

Chorus
I’m Working- I’m working nine to five
My god I’m hardly alive
My fingers to the bone
I’m barley holding on

Verse 1
I can feel the weight of the world on my shoulders
Boss man says I can’t have no overtime
It’s getting close to the end of month can you help me?
Don’t have a cent to my name
But I’m gonna get what’s mine

Chorus
I’m Working- Has life just passed me by
Am I just towing the line
Can’t get out of the red
Stress is going right to my head

Verse 2
The bills keep coming and I feel I’m working for nothing
I break my back to give my money away
I’m getting tired of always living for the weekend
But without my pay, I’m a month away
From living on the streets again

Chorus
I’m Working- I’m working nine to five
My god I’m hardly alive
My fingers to the bone
I’m barley holding on

Don’t want to work, don’t want to work for you no more
Don’t want to work, don’t want to work my life away

California
Written by J. Wray, D. Keckhut, D Lorenze

V1
There’s a feeling I get
Every time I think of you
When I’m sad and lonely
I look at a sky so blue

I can jump in my car
Go anywhere I need
From the mountains to the valley
Sunset’s home to me

Chorus
I’m cruising down the road take it nice and slow
To a place where I belong
I don’t want to go I already know
California Livin

V2
Growing up so free and easy
Doing anything I please
Summertime in Venice
My city by the sea

A Never-ending weekend
Here with all my friends
Living in California
Where the party never ends

The Peace I've Found

The Peace I’ve Found
Written by J. Wray, D. Keckhut, A Mitchell

V1
Life is amazing the journey is waiting
So many things I can be

Dreams are frustrating anticipating
The future is so hard to see

Chorus
Times are a changing
Life re-arranging somehow
The sound of silence
The only peace that I’ve found

V2
War we are fighting our planet is dying
They don’t want to hear it right now

Comfort is easy in front of the T.V.
Watching Rome burn to the ground

V3
Are Corporations nothing but cages?
To calculate profit and loss

Why don’t they hear us maybe they fear us
It all comes down to a cost

Thank You

Thank You

V1
I’ve spent a lifetime
Living on my own
Never thought I’d live to
See this day come

Out of the darkness
Into the light
Now I’ve found love for more
Than just one night

Chorus
I thank you for opening my heart
Finding it has always been the hardest part
I never new, to me its so brand-new
Now I have it all and I Thank You

V2
Too many visions
Of unwanted love
Lov’em and leav’em was
My unwritten law

For so many years
Set in my ways
You came along
And all that’s changed

Bridge
A loving home’s not easy
That’s what they say
I could have been alone forever
And never felt this way
