Two Miles From Shore

 Guatemala City, Guatemala, GTM

Two Miles From Shore, a band based out of Guatemala, emerged from the music scene in 2009 with a vision to recreate the name of Alternative Rock music as we know it. At that time, the band consisted of one vocalist and cellist, Mabe Fratti, and a single guitarist, Adrian Garcia, and quickly adopted new members Jose Ruiz [guitar], Danilo Roca [guitar], and Tito Giron [bass] as they grew into a widely known phenomenon throughout the country. Two Miles From Shore released their self-titled EP in July of 2010.

While success was undeniable for the band, having several singles on the radio and sharing the stage with large artists such as Switchfoot, Gaby Moreno, Hedras Ramos and Hot Sugar Mamma, Two Miles From Shore chose to take a break from the spotlight in early 2011. This did not stop the publicity from rolling on. Their first singles “Save me”, which reached number one in the top charts for five straight weeks, and “Your Life Ain‘t Over” continued to play throughout the main local radio stations, growing their fan base.

In late 2012, three of the original members made the decision to rebirth the name Two Miles From Shore, and welcomed a new addition from North Carolina for lead vocals. The band currently consists of Adrian Garcia [drums], Danilo Roca [lead guitar], Tito Giron [bass] and Gloria Lepko [lead vocals, keyboard]. While keeping the same theme of the original band, the four members have collaborated new ideas to create a more prevailing sound.

Since it’s reincarnation, the band has landed several shows, including closing for the annual Festival Navideño 6ta. Avenida concert in Guatemala City, and released their single, titled “Shadows”, to the main radio stations of the area. In January of 2013 Two Miles From Shore marks the beginning of their first full length album producción titled “Catalyst”. With it’s expected release in early 2013, the band has plans to organize a CD release concert followed by a tour through several Latin American countries.

By creating an environment of high expectations and crowd pleasing performances, the band accepts nothing less than their best in every aspect of their music careers. This results in optimistic reactions from every crowd touched by the pure energy that is Two Miles From Shore.
