The best kept secret in music

This band has no press

Still working on that hot first release.

Feeling a bit camera shy

Two Tickets to Japan was formed in the early year of 2008 by Grétar and Hreiðar but later blossomed during the spring when Gísli and Hermann joined. The band plays music witch will not be defined mixed with psychedelics and a calm combination of beuty. One year after the band was formed they popped up in a studio and recorded a 6-tracker called ,,The Storm that makes our minds collide". This ep was promoted, not only with a dozen of concerts, but also with radio interviews and broadcast. In the beginning of this year (2011) the band also recorded a music video to the ep single ,,Stellar Patterns". Two years after the first studio visit, or in December 2010, the band decided to record their first full length album and finished recordings in the beginning of 2011. The album, who's still in production, is set to release early next summer. Two Tickets to Japan have now played a lot of concerts all around Reykjavík and are destined to keep on playing. The concerts are an important lifeline for the band where improv tends to change the pre-composed music. The band uses it's concerts to go beyond their songs and in between create a soundscape that lives and dies in the moment it's made.
