Joshua Toala, better known for his stage name T-WYLA has worked with countless Grammy award winning composers and musicians like Bob James, Herbie Hancock, Rob Swift, Large Professor, David Guy, Dj Spinna, and many many more. He is also a staff producer at B.E.T and his works consistently air on syndicated p.s.a's commercials, t.v. spots, and is mostly used as background music.
The name T-WYLA is based on the similarity of his last name (Toala) and has been used from 2004 on.
Joshua Toala is is the youngest of two children, his older brother Noe is also a singer songwriter and both grew up in the church where most of the desires to make music started. Joshua developed most of his musical talent from his family (his mother, Marina, is a worship leader and singer, and grandfather a pastor, singer, guitar player. At a young age, Joshua began acquiring a large collection of his fathers records which inspired him to learn multiple instruments. He began playing the piano, along with his brother and they played in the church.
In these past couple of years he has re-emerged with a different CHRIST CENTERED approach and has decided to work with a different kind of CHRIST CENTERED artist, such as Laviosier, Datin, Richie Righteous, Oppose, Samar Newsome and the list is slowly growing.
T-WYLA'S main goal is to multiply his God given gifts by being a conduit of God's Glory through Hip Hop music. He believes music is secondary. The message and the possibility to change someone's life in 3 to 5 minutes is what matters to him the most......
