The short history of Tye Hurricane is that around the early 2000's he and some friends started a band. He began playing and writing primitive guitar parts and co-writing songs. The band was started on a whim and mostly just for fun and for something to do. This was in Vancouver BC. After a few years band members soon came and went as the years went slowly by and were marred by struggle and strife after the first band disintegrated due to everyone having different ambitions. Band lineups after the first incarnation were unstable and difficult to maintain. The nucleus of the band was whittled down to just 2 members for a long time afterwards.

Eventually other band members were found through want ads and a short lived band would temporarily exist and it would soon be off to the studio to record. A series and a number of short run indie recordings from different line-ups were made (from 2003 onwards) and were recorded at N.A.L. Sound, North Vancouver. Some local gigs were had by each functioning group (there could have been at least 6 different lineups in total) and the tipping point of this early career was that one of these bands set out and went out on tour across Western Canada, done with modest means and in the DIY style. It was a great learning experience and it was fun at the time.

After eventually parting ways with his band and life in Vancouver for personal reasons and moving to Toronto by the insistence of his family, Hurricane began The Prime Force by himself in Toronto in late 2010. He adopted the name Tye Hurricane sometime in 2011-2012 to be a little different and to be separate from what he started out doing back in Vancouver where his stage name then was Tye Davidson. He started doing things and writing music fully on his terms while in Toronto, progress was understandably slow however, as he'd never done things completely on his own before.

He eventually took up singing as a means of avoiding the hassles of finding a vocalist, something he remembered vividly as a major issue while struggling in bands while in Vancouver in his early days and found out that he loves to sing. He now writes all his own music and lyrics and there is no collaborative efforts with others and that suits him just fine. Tye Hurricane's "Prime Force" has independently released two studio recordings, respectively titled "The First" (2011) and "Explosions" (2012). A four song studio offering called "The Sunshine Alley E.P" was then put out in 2013. Hurricane writes, performs and self produces 100% of all the music under his and The Prime Force's name, although he simply releases music now as Tye Hurricane. The year 2014 saw the June release of "Rise From Obscurity", a powerful and realized full length electric rock album.

In 2015, which proved to be a banner year in terms of songwriting, Tye focused closer to what he is like as a live performer with just an acoustic guitar and his voice. He put down to record a stripped-down, all acoustic, singer-songwriter style album that was called "Spirit River: Acoustic Rock Music". It was released in the early Spring to coincide with playing live in Toronto with and beyond the open mic night circuit in hopes of expanding his audience. By Summer time/early Fall Hurricane completed work on his next album, "Timeless Shadows" and released that record as well, for two full length albums released in one year. The record was a great mix of mostly hard rock electric songs and a few just acoustical guitar numbers thrown in for good measure, to keep things as interesting as possible for the listener. 2016 sees the music the recorded music of Tye Hurricane as strong as ever, if not more so, with his latest album being released during the Winter time. The new album is entitled "Revolution Falls".

In addition most of his live experience has come by being a fairly steady and regular open mic night performer at local venues in Toronto since moving. It's been his quiet way of developing real competency and confidence as a live performer so that he's capable of transitioning to longer sets and bigger crowds. He's willing, able and poised now to become a great opening act for featured rock acts, as his music and style of performance perfectly compliments most anything in the rock genre.
