Ty Glascoe

Ty Glascoe was born with pop music running through his veins. Born in 1991, the young star discovered his love for singing at the age of 5. The New York City native craved the stage after watching Michael Jackson perform on television for the first time. Now at the age of 20 years old, this young recording artist is ready to take the world by storm.

In 2010, Ty Glascoe digitally released his first original project, 'Stereo Control,' worldwide on all major online music stores. the 6 song EP was completely executively produced & co-written by the 20 year old himself. "Being creatively involved in my music is extremely important to me." says the young singer. "Music is my self expression. No one can tell me how to express myself better than me." Not only does the young artist play the role of creative director in his career, the singer takes on many roles that a lot of artists don't know about early on in there careers. "At this point, I don't have I team. I am my team." explains the young star. "Everything you see, as far as the Ty Glascoe brand, completely comes from me. I've been studying the (music) industry since I was really young so I pretty much developed myself."

Ty learned early on in his career of the reality of the music industry after being eliminated from the American Idol spin-off 'American Juniors' very early in the competition. "When you're the only kid in your hometown who sings, you can become a little cocky. That competition showed me that I'm a good singer but so are millions of other kids around the world." Instead of giving up, Ty decided to work even harder. He enrolled in Long Island High School for the Arts and vocally trained in classical and jazz. After graduating from high school, Ty enrolled in college as a music production & engineer major. "I've always had an interest in producing & mixing. I started making beats and recording songs in my room when I was 14." On his spare time, Ty trained in commercial dance at the world famous Broadway Dance Center,

So what's next for the young superstar in training? "World domination!" the singer laughs. "I feel like music is flooded with female superstars but not a lot of males. Especially African American males. I want to change that." The singer plans on expanding his talents in different areas of the entertainment world including fashion and dance. "Dance & fashion play a major influence in my life. I want to push the envelop and be innovative." the singer says. He explains his goals of commercials, endorsements, fashion shows, a dance company, & a clothing line of his own. "One of my biggest influences, other than Michael Jackson, has to be Beyonce. I want to work as hard as her & have longevity like her."
