Bio

The Tyler Lewis Band was formed in July ,07. Tyler was the third place winner on Canadian Idol in '06 and had just recorded his album, I'm Coming Home. There was a showcase that he was playing in Moose Jaw Sk. to a crowd of approx. 500 people and he needed a band. He called a guitar player he had worked with before, Dean Person, and asked if he could round up a band. About 3 weeks after that call, they had played their first gig together.

This band is comprised of very experienced and well rounded musicians from many genres. Of course the main man, Tyler Lewis was involved in music from an early age. He always enjoyed singing and had natural talent that was evident early on. He never pursued it in a professional capacity until the Idol try-outs. Once he got on the show, his amazing, rich tone was on display for the entire country to witness. Since that time, he has recorded his first album and shared the stage with many artists, including Jason Blaine and Brad Johner, just to name a few.

Dean Person has been playing guitar for most of his life and has earned a great respect from those with whom he has worked. His credits include touring extensively and writing most of the material for the pop/rock band Butterfinger out of Saskatoon. He has also done excessive session work with the likes of Honey and the Money out of Vancouver and most notably Jessie Farrell's debut album.

Michael Barrett has been involved in the Saskatchewan music scene as both a guitar player and a lead volcalist. He served as both of these for the pop/rock band Slab Drab for many years through the mid '90's and early 2K's. His fun and crazy antics both on and off stage keep everyone laughing. He has recently been playing with the infamous cover group "Men Without Shame" as lead volcalist and also has a side dance project called "Big City Nights". Mike has toured the country extensively and brings a ton of experience to the stage.

Lee Bell is a well rounded musician that can play any instrument. He has his own studio, LAB Soundworks, and through that has done extensive session work in playing, engineereing, and producing. He was educated at Grant MacEwan college in Edmonton. He has toured across Western Canada with many different acts in different genres. He brings an effortless and polished sound and keeps the music movin' forward.

Damon Tupper has played in many different genres including blues, rock, jazz, funk, and country. He has toured extensively with Butterfinger, as Person did, and brings a solid base for any musical style. Most noted for the staedy time, he is not a flashy player, but does what is required of the music. He has shared the stage with many recording artists including Nickelback and looks forward to more gigs of that nature.

All tolled, this band has well over 100 years of collective playing experience. Once you see this group in action, you'll be wanting to see more and more.
