Tyler Marin

My name is Tyler Marin and I am a solo musician originally from London, Ontario, Canada. I have been playing in bands, in Ontario, since high school until i moved to Vancouver 3 years ago to pursue something more serious than a garage band. I moved to Vancouver with 3 of my best friends from high school and started a band, Dalla-tina, from scratch with all new material and absolutely zero contacts. We recorded a demo, played a couple shows, and grew a lot as musicians and individuals. It was a refreshingly exciting start that unfortunately came to an anticlimactic end after little head way was made, for our band, and friendships were being strained.
So I decided, stemming from my undying love for music and songwriting, that I would go out on my own and start writing my own material. It is difficult when you go from a collective writing dynamic to one that is solely based on yourself but i persevered none the less. My music is derived from my roots as a blues musician, polished by my equal love for pop sensibilities. I am new to the scene, having just recorded my demo and only having a hand full of shows as a solo act under my belt, but plan on pushing my self until i hit the level of success that i have always hoped for.
