CD: "Risus21" released October 2010
Reverbnation.com/Risus21 is a collection of original high energy music, with technical guitar riffs, and a hint of dark overtones. It's progressive rock with a metal edge, but melodic and tasteful.

CD: "Because I Can" will be released this October 2011. As bands of talent, training, and understanding pursue fusion of genre and freedom of style, I become inspired to do the same. This will be my first attempt to bring the great traditions of the Real Book to the 21st century of vision combining aspects of rock, funk, and blues.

The Tyler Reese Group is dedicated to fusion and sounds like anything from relaxing your spirit to lifting your soul. The genre is based in jazz and combines aspects of rock, funk, and blues with an energy level that defines entertainment and a night on the town. I have assembled a group of talented, educated musicians to provide high quality music with cross genre appeal. My experience includes over 200 live performances to date including opening for Martin Sexton, Ron Holloway, Linwood Taylor, as well as an invite to open for Ted Nugent. I've won the National Guitar Workshop competition in April of 2011, have participated in showcase events, numerous festivals, and played prestigous clubs such as the Friars in New York City. I have been featured in publications such as the Free Lance Star, Front Porch Magazine, Virginia Neighbors Magazine, and was the featured artist of the week for Underground Artists Live out of New York. I have produced 2 CD's. My first "Risus21" was an exploration of progressive rock with moderately dark heavy riffs and a lot of high energy guitar. My second CD, "Because I Can", will be released in October 2011 and is a series of contemporary, 21st century, arrangements of traditional jazz standards with aspects of funk, rock and blues. My experiences include lead guitar for the following groups: The Tyler Reese Group (jazz fusion), Risus21 (progressive rock), Knee Deep (funk, rock, metal), Hangin with Stogie (country, pop), and Big Daddy and the Riff Hounds (classic rock). In addition I also play occasionaly with the Jay Starling Jazz trio, The Geezas (classic rock), and do gigs on solo jazz guitar. A few of my influences are, Greg Howe, Guthrie Govan, John Petrucci, Pat Metheny, Yngwie Malmsteen, Jimi Hendrix, Angus Young, Paul Gilbert, Joe Satriani, Allan Holdsworth, Larry Carlton, Brett Garsed, Eric Johnson, John Coltrane, Shawn Lane, etc.
