Bio

BIOGRAPHY - A member of the HIP-HOP IS DEAD movement he is NOT. Instead, TY-RANT a.ka. Lil’ Ty is one of the best emcees to step out of Saint Louis, Missouri.

Wise beyond his 22 years, TY-RANT clearly knows and understands that his style represents every hood coast to coast. From being the creative drive behind BET’s 106 and Park winning Slu Cru, to stepping out as a solo artist, TY-RANT is now in position to get in his rightful lane and coast with his versatility doused debut “I’m That...,” which features the smash singles “Aye Playa!”, “How You Feel?,” “Blame Me,” and “Man Up.”

Highly respected by his fans and peers, TY-RANT’s debut on the Big Money Man Productions imprint features collaborations with several top emcees and producers from the Saint Louis area including E. Money, Vandalyzm, Xman and Ruka Puff.

TY-RANT’s distinct vocal and lyrical combination of Midwest, Down South and East Coast flows show amazing range, immediately setting him apart from many other rap artists. In a time where most of Hip-Hop is glamour and fantasy, his concepts are vivid and relevant to today’s urban music, satisfying even the most die-hard Hip-Hop purists. TY-RANT’s drive and work ethic is unmatched. In one month, he was able to write and record two albums worth of material. And not just run of the mill album fillers; we’re talking street and club certified classics.

As an attention getter with marketability, TY-RANT’s undeniably handsome with a capturing and warm personality. Females often take to him, however, his street creditability remains, which his why his fan base is so broad. People, in general, identify with him, due to his music and not his looks. As a result of his hard work ethic, TY-RANT has performed along side the best in the industry like Mr. Bigs, Maceo, Young Bloodz, Twista, Penelope Jones, Ebony Eyes, Juelz Santana and various other artists. His stage presence is immaculate as he commands the crowd’s attention and engages them with his every word. Earlier performances at venues throughout St. Louis, still garner the respect and admiration of local Hip Hop critics.

In '07 expect nothing less than great things from TY-RANT, as the standard that he sets for him self far exceeds what others can impose. There is no doubt that he's on his way to becoming one of the most successful and influential recording artists to ever come out of Saint Louis.
