Tyrone Morris

BandCountry

Australian Country Music that is blended differently than the normal sound. Indie Style.

Biography

Tyrone was born in Patna - India in 1951, but don't let that scare you away!

In the 80's Tyrone migrated to Australia after an exciting musical stint in England and has truly called "Australia Home".

Tyrone's ambitions during adolescence quickly turned to reality as he learned to play the guitar and formed a school band called "Hailstones". His band became a school favourite as he played at Birthday parties and school functions. Tyrone was proud being able to play in the BBC documentary about Anglo - Indians of India.

Tyrone explains that his "GURUS" Jim Reeves, Alan Jackson, Dwight Yoakem, Merle Haggard and The Beatles have contributed to his refined style where "The cocktail" with many influences produces one fantastic listening experience. Oh, and the fact he writes his own songs makes it very special.
"Land of Dreams" was one of Tyrone's many self written country music songs based on life experiences and fascination with Australia. This song is also Tyrone's personal favourite.

Lyrics

Homestead On The Hill

Written By: Tyrone Morris

I'll always remember that night we fell in love
you looked like an angel
sent from above
when you told me you loved me
and forever you will
we danced on the moonlight
at that homestead on the hill

from the moment i saw you
i knew you were the one
when i said i love you
above anyone
with burning desire
that fire within
a flame burned so brightly
at that homestead on the hill

CHORUS
That homestead on the hill
in my memory so clear
i still can remember
you're sweet words so dear
we held on to each other
the wind in our hair
that promise we made
our live's we would share

now we sit by the fire
with you in my arms
though your hair turned to silver
i'm lost in your charm
grandchildren gather
around every night
there's love all around us
it's a beautiful life

CHORUS

no we sit by the fire
with you in my arms
your hairs turned to silver
i'm lost in your charm
grandchildren gather
around every night
there's love all around us
it's a beautiful life

there's love all around us
it's a beautiful life.

Every Cowboys Dream

Written By: Tyrone Morris

There was a young country maiden
In Memphis Tennessee
By day she was a cowgirl
By night a dancing queen
Her name was Sara Morgan
And she lived across the street
We'd meet up every mornin
She was every cowboys dream

I knew Sara Morgan
Since she was 9 or 10
We met at the country rodeo
We sang in the sunshine
And danced in the rain
I wish I could see her again.

CHORUS
Where are you now Sara Morgan
How I miss you darlin now your gone
I think of the good times
The bad and the sad times
I want you to know
Baby your the only one.

Well it's been a long long time
Since my baby went away
With her she took the sunshine
And all I have today
Are memories of my darlin
And the words she had to say
I will always love you baby
Don't ever go away
So if you see Sara Morgan
Tell her I still love her so
And if I have to wait forever more
I hope that someday
She'll come on home to stay
And we'll be so happy
Together once again.

CHORUS

To Love Somebody

Written By: Tyrone Morris

To love somebody
You give all you have to give
It's a sacrifice you make
For as long as you live
You never give them reason
To doubt your love is true
The kind of love my mamma - daddy knew

When you love somebody
You give your heart to them
And cherish every moment
Until the very end
A love that lasts forever
A love that is so true
I've never loved anybody
The way I love you.

CHORUS
To love somebody
To love somebody
To love somebody
The way I love you
To love somebody
To love somebody
Baby I really do!

When you love somebody
It's something you can't hide
There's no place that you’d rather be
Than by your baby's side
Your life is filled completely
With everything you need
It's a love that only you could ever feel.

CHORUS

SOLO

When you love somebody
It's something you can't hide
