"Ty on Fox Soul"

When Tammi Mac and Ty got together, everyone was uplifted... especially the ladies! - The Tammi Mac Late Show on Fox Soul

"Ty is so talented!"

Ty is so talented and was way better than we even expected! She showed up early, was extremely easy to work with and was the highlight of the event! - Tristan M.

"Hip Hop Renewed"

I had almost given up on Hip Hop . . . then I heard Ty Scott King and my love for [Christian] Hip Hop was renewed! - Anthony F.

"The Red Carpet"

"When you should've died, He rolled out the red carpet of grace for you."- Ty Scott King

Every time I hear that line I get emotional because I think of a time that I could've died and grace caught me. Ty's ministry is a gift to the Kingdom. I am thankful to God for her. I even led a chapel service at work based off of her poem, His Passion.
I went to school in Atlanta and I was a member of Ray of Hope Christian Church...so between life in the AUC/Ray Of Hope/Created 2 Rule/events on campus I was able to meet and come to know, Ty! - Karla G.

""Scott Free""

I got Ty’s book, “Scott Free”, a few years ago hoping to gain inspiration for my own poetry. What I got was insight to a fantabulous woman who was courageous enough to share her personal life with the world. I laughed and cried reading those poems, several of them over and over again, (and w/ an island accent). I saw so much of myself in her work and the things I went through in those poems. So “Scott Free” didn't just tell me the story of Ty's journey to freedom…it was actually a catalyst for me achieving mine as well. Can't thank her enough for her gift. - Chaundell G.

""Rock" On!"

Sometime between 2001 and 2004 while I was in law school in at Samford University in Birmingham, AL I had the blessed opportunity to hear one of Ty's songs on WBHJ 95.7 Jamz Sunday morning Gospel Jamz with host DJ Strick. I was so impressed that I contacted her and purchased a CD. That was one of the best decisions I could have ever made! Soon after I had the pleasure of watching her minister in person at the university.

Not only has Ty's music and poetry ministry encouraged me during my single days in graduate school but now as a married man and Minister I have also had the wonderful opportunity to share your ministry with my wife, and my former college students at Alabama State University / Gospel Tabernacle COGIC (both in Montgomery, AL). I have also used her "Superhero" poem as a ministry tool when I had the opportunity to preach during morning worship service at Greater United Mission Holiness Church in Norfolk, VA.

It's amazing to see how Ty's ministry has grown over the years! Now, I even get to hear you on WPRS 104.1 Praise FM in Washington, DC on the The Yolanda Adams Radio Show every time Pastor Hart Ramsey and the NCC choir sing, “God's Up to Something Good”! God has really been up to many good things in her life and ministry and I wish her many more fruitful years of spreading the gospel. - Demetrius C.

Bio

Ty Scott King is a versatile, award-winning, international artist who has fine-tuned a unique balance between poetry and hip hop. Referred to by many as “the Maya Angelou of this generation,” she has shared the stage with industry greats, awed international audiences, and performed at the United States Pentagon.

The featured poetic voice in national radio ads for corporate giants such as McDonald's, Pizza Hut (for which she won the prestigious Silver Mic Award), and Aveeno, Ty has also appeared on major television networks such as BET and TV One, and had multiple long-running successes on the Billboard Music Charts.

Ty’s eclectic list of accomplishments includes ranking among the top U.S. poets at the National Poetry Slam level, hosting both an internationally broadcasted television and radio show, and breaking ground in the legendary, award-winning group, Platinum Souls. Her ability to remind others of their worth and purpose through her words has made her a sought-after artist and speaker at colleges, churches, and corporate events.

These days, the once shy Jamaican born, U.S. raised girl who began writing when she was just eight years old and honed in on her talents early while attending a school of the arts is also a bestselling author, accomplished speaker, and licensed minister who is spreading healing, hope, and love through her God-given words.
