Bio

Once in a rare while, an artist, a sound, a song, or a combination thereof shows up with such immense aptitude and appeal that the standard of excellence is completely redefined. With talent that is unquestionably at a Grammy-award winning level, T.Y. TheRebel is that new standard.
The young creator is rapidly gaining the attention of listeners, producers and music executives – and rightfully so. T.Y. TheRebel – who cites Lil Wayne and Young Money as his inspiration – is not just a rapper. The young star is also a singer, engineer and producer who boast his own unique style that rivals and easily surpasses some of today’s hottest artist.
A South Carolina native who now lives in Portland, OR, T.Y. TheRebel has been performing and winning talent showcases since his earliest years. Now, at barely 17, he is simultaneously finishing high school and planning for college where he intends to earn a degree in Business and Marketing. After hitting the books, he hits the beats - T.Y. TheRebel spends at least 8 hours a day in the studio – often free styling entire tracks with a level of quality that would likely take days to create, even for of the best and brightest in the industry. That echelon of unprecedented, unscripted talent and dedication aligns with the meaning behind his name. “I’m a rebel because I’m free, In an industry of people trying to be like everybody else, I make my own style and my own rules …” says the young creator as we sat down for an interview at the headquarters of Northwest Regional Consulting Agency (NWRCA), which currently backs T.Y. TheRebel. A small indicator of his demeanor is found in his name; he deliberately omits the space between the words the and rebel.
T.Y. TheRebel use to be known as Young Ty and had a strong following and fan base on early social media networks including myspace. More recently, NWRCA, produced “Homage: Volume 1” the mixtape which reintroduced T.Y. TheRebel’s with a new name and a sound – instantly expanding his fan base and followers on twitter, facebook and beyond. The mixtape, a production of hit songs remixed with T.Y.’s amazing lyricism and vocals, is literally meant “to introduce an astounding artist while paying homage to the array of artist who have paved the way for him” says Erick D. Allen, CEO of NWRCA. “Homage: Volume 2” is currently in production and along with hit remixes, it will also feature a handful of T. Y. TheRebel’s original tracks,
A refreshing and rare combination of multifaceted talent, one thing is certain – if you don’t know who T.Y. TheRebel is – you will.
