Bio
Yin and yang, plus and minus, underground and pop. Don't ask the members of Über-Ich what genre of music they make. You thought Beck was an eclectic acrobat? Chris, Marnix and Donata creep down the most crooked paths, exploring the deepest caverns of the underground. They'll borrow anything from everything, shaking up genres and mixing up moods. However – the music never ends up sounding difficult. Rather, it's fresh and catchy.
Ideas come in dreams, or standing at the checkout line, and made into songs on a laptop. This process combines writing, recording and producing. While Donata focuses on vocals and lyrics, Chris and Marnix fight over the instruments.
First single Uniform Child was released online in the summer of 2011. Their Mozaïque EP is released late September. It was mastered by none other than Chris Gehringer of Sterling Sound NY (Radiohead, Rihanna et al.).
Meet Über-Ich, a lightly theatrical, unusual, but very pleasant act.
